What are the dimensions of each model? Will I fit?

The following are the inner dimensions of each RevX water container model when filled with water. Add 6 inches to get each model's true dimensions to compensate for the 3-inch insulation air gap between the water container walls on both sides. Add 2.5 inches to get each model's true height with the lid/cover on top.

What material is your Barrel and Tubs made from?

Our Barrel and Tubs are made from Drop Stitch technology. The side walls are made with high grade PVC tarpaulin material. There is a 3" air gap between the walls to allow for great insulation.This is the same material as inflatable stand up paddle boards and inflatable boats. It is built to support your full body weight on the edges with no problem. Most people don’t even realize it is inflatable when using it because it is rock solid!

What is the maximum PSI each of these can be inflated to?

8 PSI.Inflating the RevX Barrel, RevX Tub Classic, and RevX Tub Deluxe past 8 PSI could damage the unit and will void warranty.

How sturdy are these when inflated to the maximum of 8 PSI?

The RevX Barrel, RevX Tub Classic, and RevX Tub Deluxe utilize the same material as inflatable stand up paddle boards and inflatable boats. It is built to support your full body weight on the edges. Most people don’t even realize it is inflatable when using it because it is solid as a rock.

What are the power requirements?

RevX electrical equipment requires a standard US 110-120v/60hz power on a 15-amp circuit. We recommend that this circuit be dedicated as it may trip the circuit breaker if shared with other large appliances such as a refrigerator. The Chiller is NOT multi-voltage and cannot be used in countries that do not supply 110-120v/60hz power.You will need a total of three (3) outlets to power the system: one for the RevX Chiller, another for the Water Pump, and another for the Sanitation Technology (Ozone Generator or UV Light Rod).

How loud is the RevX Chiller?

Most of the time when the RevX Chiller reaches the set temperature, the unit is nearly silent. When cooling or heating the water, the fan creates about the same amount of noise as a window AC unit. The readings that we have made range from 45-70 decibels.

Does the chiller have WiFi compatibility?

Our system does not offer WI-FI compatibility. During our product design process, we decided this feature was not necessary for the average consumer. By recognizing this, we were able to cut a substantial cost and pass those savings along to you. RevX Chillers are designed to be connected to power 24/7/365 and with its intelligent software programming it will automatically manage your water temperature in the most efficient way possible. This way it saves you the most money on electricity and preserves the health life of internal components. 

How much electricity does the RevX System use?

Depending on the ambient temperature and electricity cost in your area, you should expect to spend $0.50 - $1 per day in electricity.

How fast can the chiller cool or heat the water?

Cool water from 70°F to 35°F

  • The robust RevX 1.5 HP Chiller - as little as 2 hours.*

Heat water from 70°F to 104°F**

  • The robust RevX 1.5 HP Chiller - as little as 2 hours.*

*Please note that ambient temperature, humidity, system insulation, water flow and water amount will affect these numbers.** If you purchased your Chiller before June 2024, the maximum your digital Set Value "SV" can go is 99°F but your Chiller is capable of going up to 104°F. We just added a third digit on the Set Value that enables you to crank the heat into the triple digits and the new panels are backwards compatible. Is the RevX water chiller and sanitation cabinet compatible with other Cold Bath systems?

Yes. RevX Chillers and Sanitation Cabinets are engineered to be universal and will work with any cold bath tank. 

If your on the fence of also purchasing a RevX Sanitation Cabinet with a RevX Chiller, we strongly recommend that you purchase it along the tubing kit because these 3 components are designed to work together for an easy set-up and plug & play experience.

How is your chiller much more affordable compared to others?

We get this one a lot, but the answer is surprisingly simple. We keep our costs low for you because our core mission is to make healthy habits accessible and affordable for everyone and cold plunging is the first stop on our roadmap.But in all transparency, the RevX Water Chiller is priced lower than our competitors, because we spent 9 months just on water chiller development, and we partnered with the largest global manufacturer to produce an exclusive product. We have the best prices with our suppliers for raw materials and components because we are ordering very large stock quantities. Can I use all this outside (Chiller, Sanitation Cabinet, and Water Container)?

Yes, while our RevX Water Chillers and Sanitation Cabinets are weather resistant, we recommend keeping it in a covered or shaded area to maximize the efficiency and longevity of your system. Their exteriors are both made of steel so long exposure to water will cause rust in the long run.

Be cautious when operating in heavy rain as to maintain a dry plug and socket connection. The GFCI cord will protect the unit from any short circuiting but be sure that the socket is connected to ground. In temperatures approaching below freezing low heating mode is activated and keeps the water from freezing. Do not submerge in water - keep unit away from storm water run off.

Important: Please do not cover the front or back of the water chiller with anything while it's running as it needs to be able to get airflow so it can cool down, and always have empty space around the chiller. It is okay, to put a cover on the top (e.g., carpet cut-out, water resistant place mat, etc.)

How cold or hot does the water actually get?

Our powerful chillers can achieve temperatures as low as 34°F and heat up the water to 104˚F*. Your experience could vary based on your ambient air temperature, system insulation and water quality. 

* If you purchased your Chiller before June 2024, the maximum your digital Set Value "SV" can go is 99°F but your Chiller is capable of going up to 104°F. We just added a third digit on the Set Value that enables you to crank the heat into the triple digits and the new panels are backwards compatible. How many layers are on the bottom of the tub?

For Tubs or Barrels purchased before June 2024, the bottom is made of a durable single PVC layer.

For Tubs or Barrels purchased after June 2024, the bottom is made of a durable three-layer insulation pattern: 2 layers of PVC Vinyl and 1 layer 1cm EVA insulation.

Which Is Right For Me?

I like to cold plunge with another person at the same time, what do I choose?

We love that! We believe doing uncomfortable things with others builds a stronger bond, connection, and relationship.

You definitely want to go with the RevX Tub Deluxefor maximum leg room and space. This will fit two 6' people comfortably.

Which RevX chiller should I purchase, 1.0 HP or 1.5 HP?

If you plan on using the chiller in outdoor conditions where the temperature can reach 90ºF+, we highly recommend purchasing the 1.5 HP model. The 1.5 HP chiller is specifically designed to handle higher temperatures and maintain optimal performance in such conditions. 

On the other hand, if you intend to set up the chiller in a lower-temperature or garage or indoors, the 1.0 HP version will be suitable for your needs.

The RevX 1.5 HP Chiller uses a 1.5 HP Panasonic commercial grade compressor to chill/heat the water at a rate of 10-12°F per 30 minutes.

The RevX 1.5 HP is more efficient and has larger internal components to accommodate faster water cooling/heating. This model is highly recommended to be used in locations where the average annual ambient temperature is high. The RevX 1.0 HP Chiller uses a 1 HP Panasonic commercial grade compressor to chill/heat water 4x faster than lower rated chillers so it still packs a punch. Actual cool-down/heat-up time will depend on the starting water temperature and ambient air temperature and system insulation. In our testing facility, we have found that RevX 1.0 HP Chiller will cool/heat the water at a rate of about 10-12°F per 45 minutes. 

Based on my height, which is best for me?

RevX Pod- For people 6’3” and under

RevX Barrel- For people 6’4” and under

RevX Tub Classic- For people 6’5” and under

RevX Tub Deluxe- For people 7’2” and under

Which Sanitation Technology is better, UV or Ozone?

Both sanitation technologies are great and we explain the differences below but it really comes down to three (3) questions: 

1. Where are you going to have your cold plunge system? If inside, get UV. If outside you can do UV or Ozone.

2. Do you want the easiest out-of-the-box technology with no additional items? The UV light capsule is plugged in 24/7 where the Ozone is only suppose to run 1 hour per day so you will need a smart outlet connector - we recommend this one myTouchSmart.

3. Do you want an additional skin/dermatological perk? Research shows with Ozone-infused water, your body absorbs the ozone through the pores of your skin, allowing it to penetrate deep into your tissues, organs, and cells. This process stimulates various physiological responses that promote health, vitality, and rejuvenation. We encourage you to do more research on this topic since we are not mad scientists here.

I am a DIY'er and thinking about getting a chiller and sanitation cabinet. do I need your Tubing Kit as well?

Yes, our engineers highly recommend it. They put a lot of thought and design into practical use cases and ease of installation & maintenance. Our kit has all the required parts to connect your RevX Water Chiller to the RevX Sanitation Cabinet. We offer two RevX Tubing Kit options: 

1. "Hose Clamp Connectors" - Comes with hose clamps to secure the RevX tubing kit onto barbed fitting connections. If you are not going to move your cold plunge system often, then get these.

2. "Quick Connect Connectors" - Comes with quick connects that make it easy and quick to remove your RevX tubing kit from your Chiller and Water Container. If you plan on moving your cold plunge system often, get these.

Both includes tubes made with a heavy duty - clear braided hose. Made of high pressure and high duty PVC with smooth interior and exterior that allows easy flow and flushing, light weight, BPA Free, non-toxic.

Maintenance

How does the water stay clean?

There are best practices that need to be followed to achieve clean water for a long period of time.

Best practices include:

1. Use a hose filter before filling up your water container

2. Rinse off before you use your system

3. Check water purity weekly by opening your sanitation cabinet and seeing if the water filter is a brown-ish color or has a lot of dirt/hair in it

4. (For UV Cabinets) you should use food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% or under) 1/3 cup for 75-80 gallons of water per week

The RevX Sanitation Cabinet come with a 20 micron water filtration system and a built-in ozone generator or UV sanitizer which allow you to keep your water fresh, crystal clear and sediment free. When filling the water in your tank we strongly recommend that you use RevX hose filter and attach it to your garden hose. RevX Hose Filter is the first step to experiencing crystal clear water.

How often should the water be changed?

This is completely up to your discretion by looking at the water clarity but will also depend on your hygiene when plunging. Of course, you will still need to change your water filter every 1-2 weeks but that won't stop the water from getting a little murky after several weeks of plunging.

Based on your hygiene routine before plunging:

  1. You rinse off before plunging - change the water every 6-8 weeks
  2. You don't rinse off before plunging (e.g., you have hair gel, lotion, makeup, etc. on) - change the water every 2-3 weeks
How do you drain the system to put fresh new water in it?

Product comes with a tap at the bottom for draining. To drain it, connect a standard garden hose with a 1/2 inch male thread-to-hose adapter (from your local home supply store). You can also simply open the tap without a hose attached depending on where the tub or barrel is set up.

For those who received their tub or barrel from us after June 2024, you should have received a drain assistance spigot that you put in the inside of your tub that will assist in draining all the water below the “OUT” hole simply by using the pump in the cabinet.

Can I put salt into the water to keep the water cleaner for longer periods of time?

Yes - only pour 1 pound of raw salt into your RevX Tub or Barrel at a time. You can keep the water in their for 8-10 weeks depending on your personal hygiene.

With no use of salt we recommend changing the water every 4-6 weeks (will depend on your hygiene before plunging).

If one company has a different customs process than others try to find out why. Have they missed something or have they found a way to simplify things?

Can a RevX system be used in a commercial setting?

Yes, RevX Water Chillers and Sanitation Cabinets come equipped with commercial grade components that can handle near-constant use in most circumstances. How long does shipping take?

If we're not sold out, orders will ship within 1-2 business days from our warehouse in Southern California. Tracking details along with an estimated delivery date will be emailed to you but generally here is what you can expect:

  • 4 - 5 business days to the East Coast
  • 10 - 15 business days to Hawaii (via Matson vessel)
How is the system shipped?

RevX products ship in separate boxes. In some cases (e.g., the RevX Cold Plunge Kits) we will process an order and ship it on a pallet, in this case you will be informed for a delivery schedule and a truck driver will lower your pallet down from the truck and use a wheeled forklift to drop it in front of your garage or driveway.

What if something breaks outside of my warranty period?

We strongly recommend an extended protection plan for your RevX Chillers, this way you can have a piece of mind for up-to 5 years and that your most expensive investment within the system is protected. 

If something stops working after your warranty period, please reach out to us directly with the details of your situation. We will try our best to help you get you back up and running!

What is covered by warranty?

RevX offers a standard limited one-year warranty (from the date they were purchased) on all supplied products. 

We will repair or replace your product should it become defective within one year of the purchase date. Standard manufacturing defects are covered - misuse or wear & tear is not covered.
